Perfect Auto Finish began as a hobby, by my friend, neighbor, and master detailer Gary Kouba in 2001. As the word of his superior service and free detailing classes spread, his hobby turned into a business. He meticulously put together a selection of products that were to bear the Perfect Auto Finish name. I, Kevin Traver, began working for him part-time during his busy months in spring and summer while I attended Lake Park High School and then DeVry University. I had the same passion for cars that he did, and he took me under his wing to teach me the secrets he had learned over the years.
I branched off in 2004, after graduating from DeVry, and took a position managing the detail shop and car care at a local Lamborghini and Lotus dealership. There I honed in my detailing skills while working on some of the most expensive cars in the world. After a year I was ready to move on, so I worked in a different industry up until 2007, just doing the detailing on the side on the weekends. Gary had contacted me to inform me that he was looking to do something different and if I was interested in taking over the business. I was very interested and excited to get back to doing what I loved.
I officially became the sole owner of Perfect Auto Finish in May 2007 and I never looked back. I have been dedicated to providing the best detailing service and have added other services that my customers have requested. I decided in the spring of 2009 that we needed more space and moved into our new 9500 sq ft location at 65 W Irving Park Rd, Roselle, IL in September 2009. We now offer a full service hand carwash open 7 days a week along with the finest detailing in the chicagoland area.
Finally, I would like to thank all who have helped me on this journey, especially my wife, Karla. She has provided so much support, patience, and guidance during the growth of our business that I don't know what I would have done without her. From actually being in the shop washing and detailing cars, to managing finances and marketing, she always been at my side willing to learn and help. I am also extremely grateful to have my family behind me providing support and guidance when needed.
